Moore Bulk Storage is an independently owned bulk fuel storage and logistics operator based on the Victorian coast. One site, one owner group, thirty-eight years of the same product on the same berth.
Moore Bulk Storage was founded in 2000 by the Moore family as a small bulk fuel depot serving Western District farmers and regional transport operators. The original two tanks are still on site — decommissioned now, kept as a reminder of where the capacity came from.
Over four decades the terminal grew alongside the customers who depended on it: first road transport fleets, then regional distributors, then the importers and refiners who needed independent storage they didn't have to compete for internally. Today the site holds 189,000 kL of tankage and connects to road, rail and marine logistics from the same footprint.
Every load-out can be stopped by any operator on shift, no exceptions, no sign-off required afterward. It has cost us throughput. We've never reversed the policy.
Clients see live tank levels and load-out schedules for their own product, not a monthly summary we control the framing of.
We store and move product for competing refiners and distributors on the same site. Neutral capacity is the entire business model.
Moore Bulk Storage Pty Ltd remains privately held by the founding family alongside a small group of long-term operating partners. An independent board, including two directors with backgrounds in dangerous goods regulation, reviews safety and environmental performance every quarter — separately from commercial performance.
That separation is deliberate. It means a bad quarter for throughput has never once been allowed to influence a safety or maintenance decision.
